Principal Software Engineer

If you are an experienced Software Developer who can implement change and shape the direction of support functions for a leading government organisation which is intent on digital transformation this is an exciting opportunity.

The Role

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will ensure client continues to deliver value and innovation to our customers and that our software development meets industry best practice. You will be responsible for the existing support which spans multiple teams and a large estate of applications and services. Working closely with the existing support delivery team, you will ensure that service levels are met and incidents are dealt with effectively and have responsibility for quality across all customer-facing applications.

 
What Is Required

Extensive experience of leading software development teams and operating and supporting live services hosted on-premises and on the cloud is essential, as is experience in designing, building, operating and supporting complex, multifaceted digital products and services. You will also need expertise in development process automation, including continuous delivery techniques, continuous integration and other DevOps related practices.
